To better serve our customers, Howard Street Auto Care, opened its doors in 1991, as the mechanical division of Howard Street Garage. We take pride in knowing that our facility is the first NAPA Auto Care located East of the Mississippi River!

We can handle all repairs on all vehicles. Both gasoline and diesel repairs can be confidently handled. From engine swaps and cylinder head gasket replacements to taking care of oil changes and manufacture routine scheduled maintenance, no job is too small or too big for our qualified staff!

Now offering in house tire sales, as well as an updated list of aftermarket and specialty services. Our laser alignment rack can handle vehicles up to a 210" wheelbase. So, anything from a SMART car, to that new 4 door, 8 foot bed work truck, can get a proper wheel alignment!

We understand your life is busy, so a free shuttle service around Mount Vernon and the surrounding areas is available. Some times, "Normal Business Hours" don't always work for our customers so, late pick-up is also available until 9pm M-F and Saturday from 9am - Noon.
